How we verify

Verifiable AI, not AI you have to take on faith.

Every regulatory claim Jubal med makes is retrieved live from binding.law — Jubal's own legal corpus — and carries the source, the retrieval time, the content hash and the version that produced it. You can check any of it.

The corpus

binding.law

Jubal med does not ship with the law baked into it. It queries binding.law, a separately maintained corpus of statutes, regulations and agency guidance — the same corpus that answers for jubal.law, our legal product.

That separation is the point. The corpus is ingested from official government sources, versioned, hashed and dated on its own schedule. Jubal med is a client of it, exactly as any other client of the corpus would be — so the text you get is the text the corpus holds, not something the assistant remembered.

What travels with every citation

A citation is only as good as its receipt.

This is the real provenance record behind 42 C.F.R. § 418.56 — the hospice care-planning condition — exactly as the corpus returns it.

The section also carries its amendment history — 73 FR 32204, June 5, 2008, as amended at 88 FR 79539, Nov. 16, 2023 — so you can see not just what it says, but when it changed.

Responsible by construction

Four failures this design removes.

Not by instructing the model to behave, but by making the alternative unavailable.

01

Recalling law from training data

The model is never asked what a regulation says. It is given a retrieval tool and required to fetch the text before it can quote it. A citation that was not retrieved in your conversation cannot appear in your answer.

02

Plausible-looking invented citations

A fabricated section number has nothing behind it — no source URL, no hash, no validity window. There is no path by which an invented cite acquires a provenance record, which is what makes the failure mode structurally unavailable rather than merely discouraged.

03

Quietly answering past the corpus

When the controlling authority isn't on file, Jubal med says so plainly and logs the gap, rather than reaching for something adjacent that happens to be available. Those logged misses are what drives what gets ingested next.

04

Silently stale text

The corpus is bitemporal: every section carries when it took effect and when it stopped applying. Ask as of a past date and you get the text that was in force then — not today's text presented as though it always read that way.

What we don’t claim

An unofficial copy, and we say so on every record.

The corpus is a faithful reproduction of official government sources with full provenance — it is not an official publication. Verify against the official source before relying on anything in a filing. That disclaimer travels on the records themselves, not just in a footer.

Records in the guidance corpus are sub-regulatory — interpretive guidelines and survey procedures. They are badged non-binding wherever they appear, and are never presented as law. Guidance coverage is currently deepest for hospice; other settings are answered from statute and regulation, and Jubal med says so rather than implying a layer it doesn’t have.

And it is still an assistant, not a lawyer or a clinician. It researches and drafts; the judgment stays yours.

Bring your hardest surveyor question.

Invite-only, with founding rates for early members. When someone tells you what the rules say, Jubal med shows you what the rules actually require.
